Make the most of your summer meetings in Allen
Meeting in Allen this summer? Don’t forget to make time for making memories. Bring the family along and make the most of your downtime with a mini-vacation. Whether your kids are tots or teens, we’ve got something they – and you are sure to love.
No matter their size they can jump right into fun at one of our trampoline parks. Head to either Cosmic Jump or Jumpstreet and try out trampoline basketball and dodge ball or the free style trampolines and their everyday fun levels will be exceeded by leaps and bounds. Don’t worry, there’s no age-limit on fun here, with a special trampoline for the little tikes, everyone including grown-ups are allowed to jump in on this action.
Let your little Michelle Kwans and Wayne Gretskys show off their skating skills and take a spin on the ice at Allen Community Ice Rink! With open skate times available, the whole family will be flying down the ice in no time. And, with its convenient location in The Village at Allen, the hardest thing about dinner that night will be deciding where to go.
While you’re at The Village at Allen head over to The Grove where your tykes can let their imaginations run wild in The Village Depot and then literally run wild in the Texas-shaped hedgerow maze that is the perfect height for the wee-ones.
So your family prefers their skates with wheels? No problem there. The Edge at Allen Station Park offers surfaces that are perfect for inline skates…and pretty much anything else with wheels. So grab those bikes, boards, scooters or skates and head to the largest outdoor skate park in Texas. Even better – it’s free.
If you want fun that serves up water and waves, then just cross the street to Hydrous Wake Park where a full state-of-the-art cable wake board system awaits your little boarders to bonk and tweak. With a beginner system and pipes and rails for advanced riders, the entire family can get in on the action no matter their size or skill level.
Still looking for ways to make a splash? Grab a lunch to go and head over to Celebration Park to let the kiddos spend the afternoon frolicking through the sprayground and enjoying the largest handicap accessible park in Texas.
Gather your group and get ready to swing some wrenches at The Courses at Watters Creek. With a short 6-hole, to 9-hole or a full 18, you’ll find the perfect course to fit your family’s skill level and tight schedule. If you’re looking for something that’s seriously fun rather than just serious, head over to TopGolf. Go ahead and grab some Mushi (Mexican-style sushi, of course), because with seven different games and junior player specials, you’ll be working up quite the appetite. We’ve got more ideas on how your family can spend their time soaking up fun rather than just soaking in rays at the hotel pool here.
